I had a consultation regarding a simple executor/estate update. The technical quality was poor (unusable microphone), but the professional conduct was worse. Despite being quoted $385/hr, the rate shifted to $400/hr during the 45-minute meeting, and we were later billed $600. No word on how much it would be to actually do the work discussed, and no work was done. Ms Abel was recommended by a friend and although I was surprised she charges to consult, I engaged her to find out if she could handle my estate. Her secretary mentioned $385 an hour but she changed it to $400. She was very verbose and asked questions about another matter for 20 minutes before we got to the task at hand. Then she charged me $200 more for having read my documents. $600 for this bad review. Don’t go there
