Dr. Elizabeth Mahaney is an inspiration to her counseling supervisees and clients alike. I have seen firsthand the ways that she skillfully transforms the lives of those that are lucky enough to work with her. In the short time that I have been working with her, I have learned so much, including the Gottman method, Non-Violent Communication, Emotion Focused Therapy and many other empirically based therapeutic techniques. I cannot recommend Dr. Liz enough!
I struggle with anxiety and even finding an LMHC to help me was a struggle, but I am so grateful to have been referred to Dr. Mahaney. She responded to my text inquiry immediately and provided a link to book and went above and beyond to help me with acquiring an ESA letter. She not only wrote the letter, but took the time to fill out an additional form that I needed and has continued to be an advocate for me. She goes above and beyond and makes the processes of getting help easy and stress-free.
I started seeing her in September 2019 when I was heavily struggling with the postpartum depression of being a new mom. From the moment I met her, I was taken aback by how incredibly kind she was and how it felt like for the first time since I had given birth.. someone was actually listening to me.
