Meh. Doesn't seem to take in what I tell her. She doesn't remember what I told her just a session or two prior. Makes me wonder how involved and committed she is. Starts appointments late, but presses to finish on time. I occassionally feel like a bit of judgement is sneaking in. Provides some useful advice and some thought provoking questions. Nothing exceptionally good or exceptionally bad.
I just ended a three year therapeutic relationship with Dr. Flannery a few days. ago. and would recommend her to anyone looking to understand themselves better in interpersonal relationships. She basically saved my marriage. I found her to be perceptive and insightful. She was able to challenge me on things that I was not seeing about myself but in a gentle/nonthreatening way. I definitely learned alot about myself.
Very insightful. Highly recommended
Very engaged, direct, empathic. Helped me see how I had been sabotaging myself for years. Highly recommended.
insightful, respectful....incredible assistance through a difficult time of my life
I got so much out of work with Dr. Flannery. She is insightful, supportive and a good listener. I have been in therapy before and never made much progress. I recommend her
Dr. Flannery seemed to always yawn during our sessions as if she was bored which started to hurt my feelings after seeing her for almost a year. I was never excited to go to her appointment because not a lot came out of it. It's easy to see we didn't connect well at all as I never felt good after seeing her. I actually would feel worse! I felt judged most times, and she wasted my time. I would not recommend Dr. Elizabeth Flannery.
I would never recommend Dr. Flannery to anyone. I had a horrible experience with her; she actually made me feel emotionally unsafe. She accused me of lying when I didn't (I don't lie); and she pulled a power trip on me when power trips are one of the huge triggers I had to work through. I felt blackmailed by her to return to see her when I didn't want to, even though I had already made an appt with a different therapist. It was awful.
I found her advice very thoughtful and applicable to my daily struggles. I had a counselor before where I felt I spent many visits going over my history with no practical suggestions or recommendations. I would highly recommend her!
