I saw Dr. Hourihan for an urgent matter regarding my large and getting larger hernia. I felt respected and I appreciated her patience with me. We went over a lot of history and although I was somewhat defensive about my position she was clear and more informational than other doctors, who were specialists had been. She was direct, but not forceful. I really felt like I was heard for the first time in eighteen months while dealing with this condition.
