She forced birth control on me 6 weeks postpartum after having my child and did not respect my wishes when I said more then once at my 6 week checkup that I did not want it she she wouldn't respect my wishes as a patient and pushed it on me I was young and impressionable likewise it has caused long term effects on my body that are permanent and after having it removed and receiving no support after removal and Im a women of color!
I’m not sure if she is even still practicing but I will never forget how awful this doctor was during my first pregnancy and part of my second. When I finally asked to switch doctors, the person I was speaking with said that several people had said the same thing about this doctor. She was so rude. I dreaded seeing her for appointments.
I had symptoms of HELLP Syndrome (liver and kidney failure due to preeclampsia) from the beginning of my pregnancy. Dr. Vanderburgh ignored my symptoms, and when I went to her begging for help the day of the gender ultrasound, my weight had skyrocketed to 292 pounds. They were unable to get any reading on my blood pressure that day, despite trying at least 5 times during the appointment. Dr. Vanderburgh is a retired AF doctor. Very to the point which I like. During the delivery of my 2nd son there was a complication, her quick action and knowledge saved my son's life. For that I will always have the utmost respect and thanks for Dr. V.
Dr. Vanderburg is the best. She listens, explains everything in detail, and is straight to the point.
