Well kept practice with very kind staff. The sonographers are thorough And great at their job. Dr. Elmer is kind, explains everything in detail and very knowledgeable
I made an appointment last week to have an ultrasound done here at Elite Diagnostics. Arrived at my appointment today to find out they do not perform abdominal ultrasounds. This should have been a question they asked when I made my appointment. Or at the very least, when they received the order from my provider for abdominal pain, they should have called to confirm I needed a pelvic or abdominal ultrasound. Bottom line: I would not recommend Elite Diagnostics/James Elmer to anyone facing a pregnancy or miscarriage. Their communication practices and lack of patient-centered care are unacceptable. Gina, the sonographer at Elite Diagnostics, was the only professional and compassionate staff member we encountered. Because it was our first ultrasound and our first pregnancy, she explained the entire procedure in detail and provided great comfort. Unfortunately, we experienced a miscarriage. I had an appointment scheduled for an ultrasound. Made the appointment two weeks out just to show up on the day of the appointment for them to tell me that they canceled my appointment over text instead of calling because they no longer take my insurance. Quite the inconvenience.
I would like to respond to a review suggesting staff racism, which was not my experience. My partner and I, from different ethnic backgrounds, received kind treatment. Gina performed a vag ultrasound, and her expertise made the procedure comfortable; I couldn't of asked for better. The office atmosphere is calm, and my return visit was as pleasant as my first experience ten years ago. Thank you for a seamless journey.
