I had two requirements for my wedding.... Saturday wedding and Elis BBQ catering it. I got both and am SO thankful it worked out. Elis staff was incredibly friendly. It felt like you were talking to an old friend everytime you talked to someone. Everyone was so happy with the food and I don't think I could ever have another event without them catering. They raised the standard so high!
Best barbecue in town....if you haven't tried it...your missing out...
3 today is about the best I can do. I won't drive back down there and probably not stop in if I'm in the hood. The mac n cheese was too much like I remember Kraft tasting like. Baked beans had a little of its own flavor. The moist rib tips and bones had a good taste but lost the smokey flavor to all the dry rub. Slaw was a good dressing. The house sauce is great and did knock the bones and tips up a notch when drenched. I hadn’t heard of Eli-s until today when I saw a bunch of their stuff at Kroger (Stonybrook, Louisville). I’m not easily impressed by BBQ but the pork was REALLY good (no sauce). I’ll be trying some of the other products this soon!
