Terrible office staff. Doctor not helpful to my problem. Would not go back to that office.
Do NOT go to Dr. Rooney! I had been a patient of hers for many years. Like others I was initially happy. She often gave me the impression that she was in a bad mood. The final straw was when I saw her to switch my birth control. She nervously said she didn't know when we could insert the implant. That should have been a red flag. I was told I'd hear from her office when it was ready. One month later I called and the receptionist told me Dr. Rooney was "waiting for something to be approved". Red flag #2! I avoided her during all of my OB appointments after meeting her once but had the unfortunate luck of having her be on call the day I went in for my C-section. My bad luck turned to worse when she was there the day after as well when I had complications from the C-section she performed. She was uncommunicative and cold during the entire experience. Will never go back there.
Dr. Rooney delivered my son on Christmas eve, 17 years ago! I was at Valley Hospital to visit someone recently & wondered if she was still around. Looked her up & saw these reviews. I was compelled to write one even though my son is now 17 & healthy, thank God. My doctor in the group was on Christmas vacation when I went into labor and unfortunately, I got Dr. Rooney (whom I was not fond of). Love the staff and both doctors! Have been a patient for about 5 years, along with my family, and we have seen both Dr Gonzales and Dr Woodruff and enjoy them both :) easy to talk to, and the friendliest staff around! Have been very satisfied with making all appointments, treatment, cost, everything. Recommend to everyone!
Easy appointment setting is the only option benefiting this office. Doctor is nice looking, but as we all know it is not the profession. I really believe she need to start something different to do! I went to her office with several complains and never got resolved anything. I met her because she was covering for my husbands doctor. She called us followed up, even referred us to a specialist and called us at night to see if we were doing ok. SHe had me at "hello" and she's been my primary doctor for the past 13-14 yrs. I would recommend her to the President !She is so thorough and detailed...al lshe's missing is the home visits lol she's an old fashioned doctor and a damn good one !
Very thorough, great with follow-up calls, takes time to explain in detail both condition and options. He has always kept in communications with a specialist I who is treating another situation I am dealing with at the same time. I have complete confidence in his ability and knowledge. Dr. Gerald Sotsky is highly professional and highly competent.
I love this Doctor!! I have finaly found my primary doctor!!!
