I have been seeing Dr. Chediak for so many years that I have lost track. He's been assisting me with the medication management of my bipolar disorder. First, all the basics: he's very experienced and quite knowledgeable about psychiatric medications. If he does not know the answer to something, he admits it and helps you brainstorm ways to find out the answer. After approximately one year of seeing Dr. Chediak on a biweekly basis, my mental disorders have yet to improve. Today I came in for an appointment and was essentially told that I needed to find a new psychiatrist. This was his reaction after I told him (for the umpteenth time) that no, I would not take a certain type of drug from which I've already had nightmarish experiences.
