I scheduled the oil change at Elgin Kia for 1:00 this afternoon. At 9:30 this morning, I get a phone call from one of the service advisors telling me that the owner of Elgin Kia no longer wants to do business with me!!!! Apparently, when you get those customer service surveys, they mean something. I was honest on those surveys, so much so that I have rated them a total of 172 points out of **** on my last 5 surveys. I delt with them over my Automatic headlights not working properly and them not fixing it properly or diagnosing it properly.I had my photo light sensor replaced twice. Once by another *** ********** then once by them. Even after it was replaced by them, they pulled my car outside and said they were done. Never checking to make sure issue was resolved. Don't buy, you'll be embarrassed and frustrated like myself. Purchased a 2022 kua stinger with a promise a bumper would be replaced as a worker there bought and messed up then returned. Only to find out it was repaired and not even done professionally. Then wheel locks missing too. They never reported damage on their car fax and not interested in doing the right thing. Bad buisness all the way around.
wish I had read these reviews before buying a car here. They will nickel and dime you out of every cent they can. If the car has a minor issue they claim they will take care of, DO NOT drive the car off the lot. make them repair it or get a car somewhere else.

The only agreement we had with this customer was to factory order a vehicle for them at MSRP, which no other dealer between ******* and Elgin was willing to do. There was no agreement made as to trade value. Nor was there an agreement made as to lease payment. Neither of these factors were or could have been anticipated months in advance. Unbelievably poor service. Brand new car, less than 4 months old and have had to had it serviced 3 times now for a brake fluid issue. Confirmed by *** to be an issue seen across all Tellurides deeming them unsafe to drive until the problem is fixed. They supposedly fixed my vehicle 3 weeks ago and the light is on again. Earliest they can get me in is in 4 days when they kept my car the last time since it was deemed unsafe. Oh and Im still waiting for a reimbursement of my rental car charges. When the vehicle was originally in, the vehicle was diagnosed, and a master cylinder for the brakes was ordered and installed. Rental expense is handled by Kia ********************** of *******, though we try to get it expedited as much as possible for our customers and understand the frustration these time-consuming repairs cause. Ultimately the situation was handled satisfactorily, and the customer has continued to service with us.
I wish I read other reviewers before deciding to go to Napleton’s Kia of Elgin to purchase my car. I saw a car priced at $11,500 and decided to go for it. When ready to purchase, they added some “fees” and price was increased to over $12,000. Also they promised to deliver the car after purchase, but they wanted to back out and change their mind and make me come back to pick it up. This vehicle was purchased back in 2020, but we received this review almost a year later. We are now under new ownership.
The worst experience at this dealer. I bought a 2020 kia optima, they gave it to me at 11:30 pm. The structural frame of the car roof light was poorly assembled. I called the manager Jon Quach who dared to say that it was my fault and with a lack of respect or ethics to me, he said he could withdraw the "courtesy" of repairing my car. They should give me a car without defects. Or at least, fixed it with the respect that I deserve as a customer.
