Dr. Elgin was one of the worst doctors I have ever dealt with in my life. I encountered her when she worked at Medstar Franklin Square. About 10 days after giving birth, I was having pain in my low back. I called my OB and Dr. Elgin was on call. When I shared my symptoms with her, she was completely dismissive. She told me that I didn't have preclampsia because it would've resolved itself by now. Dr. Elgin was the on call provider who delivered my baby girl on 2/4/22 pre-term. She was very polite from the time I spoke with her on the phone on my way to labor and delivery to actually meeting her in person a few hours later. Her bed side manner and confidence is what helped me get through my labor & delivery naturally. She’s very gentle, you can tell she genuinely care for her patients. Thanks to Dr.Elgin baby girl and I are both healthy and doing great. I am now a patient under her direct care.
