I Purchased an Eve Room device a little earlier this year. We have really enjoyed having it in the house and it is nice to know the temperature in our home when we are not there so we can monitor and keep the temperature nice and cool for our pets. when our Eve Room started getting off readings I emailed in for warranty service and received an email response promptly from Andrea that gave me some trouble shooting tips. Poor does not describe the experience I have had by owning the infamous "El Gato", At first of all when I play games it loses signal from the device to the TV which to be honest is hard to succeed in games, and do well, or just play with friends casually. I am also VERY disappointed with the quality of technical support. I was told to download the El Gato branded file scanner, and advised to send them the results, they said they looked at the files, and a few things were off, however after supposedly looking through the repo... read more

Elgato is a very anti-customer oriented company. If you have any problems, they will make you jump through hoops to help you, and there is no guarantee that they even will. They would far prefer loosing a customer than doing the right thing. The simple truth is there are very few companies, especially in the Mac market, that do what they do in TV tuners so they can treat their customers however badly they wish.
