Awful first experience. I’ve had SRP for over 10 years but just bought a home 2 weeks ago where ED2 is the only option. I paid my deposit and then created an account and enrolled in auto pay. I got a $33 bill for “new account establishment” but no electricity charges in that bill. I received the bill by email and went online and paid it since it said auto pay wouldn’t take effect until next bill. I got an email confirmation that they received my payment. I am new to the area and new to pay "as you go" electricity, and I told them that, and asked what I thought was pertinent questions. For three days in a row I tried to pay my bill and was unable on every platform they offered. I tried calling on the phone and they either couldn't hear me or didn't answer. I work their same hours so couldn't go in person. Sunday morning I'm making breakfast for my grandchildren and the power gets shut off. At this time I owe $4.82. After NINE YEARS OF SERVICE I did not get 2 months of bills, IN THE MAIL AS NORMAL they did threaten disconnect and charged me a late fee. I had set up auto payments thru my bank. However -Some months were higher , than amount sent, Now I have my bills emailed since they fixed my email. I verified email on phone and they had it entered wrong. We gave lived in the area for nine months, power has gone out at least 10 times and there is no way to get information or report the outages. The Federal goverment needs to step in. Time for a petion to things going
Shady business operations...sadly there's no alternative if you live in this area. Made an online payment on their website with confirmation. Received a tag at my door a week later since, according to them, my bank refused payment due to insufficient funds. Outright lie...there was hardly insufficient funds & my bank verified there was no request received from them for payment.
