Very skilled doctor with procedures. Typically has good bedside manner. However pressured to use birth control without acknowledging my autonomy or providing alternatives, this reflected a lack of patient-centered care. pressured into permanent contraceptive methods even after saying no multiple times, which raises concerns about reproductive coercion especially while working at a catholic hospital
Dr. Oakman has been absolutely amazing to work before, during, and after my procedure. She has an amazing bedside manner. Made me feel very comfortable in her care. Which made it easy to talk about the sensitive, uncomfortable things.
Dr. Oakman listened attentively to all my concerns and offered solutions. She took extra time and I did not feel rushed😊
