Dr. Bhakhri & staff are amazing! They love your pets (aka fur babies) as much as you do. I have absolute faith and trust in the entire team that my little ones are always in great hands!

Caring treatment at all times We have a dalmatian who has just celebrated her 13th birthday following a series of physical problems which made it most unlikely that she would survive this long. Although that's probably due in part to her determination to survive, we could not have made intelligent decisions about her care without the help of Dr Bhakri, who has always been there to keep her safe and as pain-free as possible. Our dog has a heart condition, a huge tumor, arthritis in all 4 legs and possibly a cancer in one front shoulder. Nevertheless under Dr Bhakri's care she is living a happy and enthusiastic life and is able to pursue her interests, i.e. eating the trash, falling into the pool, stealing food off tables and all those things that elderly dogs are supposed to have retired from years ago. I can say in certainty that Dr Bhakri is responsible for giving her the best quality of life possible and I have no worries about recommending him to anyone. Also, as someone else notes, he shows real care and concern for animals and doesn't seem to be in it solely for the money. So we are able to think of him as our pet's friend as well as being her vet. Sadly it is necessary for any private doctor to charge according to their skills and what the market can stand, otherwise they wouldn't make enough to stay in business. So some costs can be frighteningly high if you don't have insurance or a solid income. But I never felt that Dr. Bhakri charged more than a reasonable amount, and he's never objected to us getting the dog's medication elsewhere for less expense. We're very satisfied.

Great Vet I recently came back to ELC after several years when the previous Vet retired. Dr. Bahkri has recently seen both of my elderly cats and has been caring and concientious about each of their individual needs. His prices are very reasonable and his style is very matter of fact and simple to understand. I have been pleased with his recommendations and treatment plan for each cat. Highly recommend this veterinary office.

Ann Dr. Bhakhri always shows honest concern and comforts whatever critter I bring to him. He never makes me feel like he is in a rush by hurrying through any questions that I have. It's easy to see that he has a soft spot for animals, which many vets don't have or show.

Trusted, Caring, Above & Beyond We trust Dr. Bhakri and his staff with our beloved companions. ELC Vet has shown us over and over again how much they care for our pets, are patient with us when we want more details on a medical condition in order to make an informed decision, and have gone above and beyond the normal provider/patient relationship.

Our feline companions are our family, and is important to us that they are comfortable with the vet and his staff - which they definitely are. When boarded there, they are spoiled in a good way. Dr. Bhakri has excellent communication with us calling back to answer questions, calling us to follow up on our cat's recovery, explaining things clearly to us, and talking things through with us if necessary to make a treatment decision. Dr. Bhakri knows how sensitive one of our cats is to medication and is very forthcoming with successful treatment suggestions that work without medication when possible. Our older cat, almost 21 years of age, has been going to ELC since he was rescued 20 years ago. When the previous vet retired we were very concerned about switching vets; all those concerns were unnecessary. We attribute our cat's long life in part to the treatment he has received from Dr. Bhakri over the last few years. The geriatric panel he suggested the first time he saw him caught a chronic kidney condition in time to be treated. The steam room treatment just cured a sinus infection. The diabetes our cat developed after an illness in 2007 was treated so well that he is now in remission. Dr. Bhakri recommends only the tests that are truly necessary, and never overcharges. The 6 days/week office hours are very nice when a cat is sick - because the cat can be, and sometimes is, sick over the weekend, not just during the week. The extended hours on Wednesday are very helpful also. One of our beloved companions was recently diagnosed with a rare heart tumor; for which Dr. Bhakri consulted many times (at no additional charge to us) with an oncologist. We kept trying treatments to improve our cat's quality of life back to a level which he would accept, which was difficult with such a rare condition with no known morbidity #s or acknowledged treatment path. He'd been kitten like, even though 18 years old, until 3 weeks before he died. Our companion died over a holiday weekend at the emergency clinic in SJ. Since he'd bit an oncology tech 2 days earlier in SJ, the mergency clinic wouldn't release his body to us. They wanted to send it to the state for testing, even though it was impossible that he could have contacted rabies. Dr. Bhakri and his staff were tireless in their efforts to have his body returned to us. Anna even offered (and we gratefully accepted) to bring his body back to ELC when it was released thanks to their efforts, since the sudden death was so difficult for us. Now that's what I call above and beyond. We highly recommend ELC veterinary clinic.
