Beautiful views in Shelter Cove. Great food. The fillets melt in your mouth with tenderness and flavor. Outdoor dining at its finest. Excellent service. Live music great for dining. Always our final dinner when visiting Hilton Head. Due to large party on second floor, our food was slow to arrive. Kitchen was overwhelmed according to our server. This is the first time we had any issues at Ela’s.
We ate Easter brunch last year and loved it so decided to go again this year. We were so disappointed 😓 The English muffin was burnt , the pouched egg was hard boiled, and the h sauce you could not even taste because there wasn’t hardly any on it. The whole eggs Benedict was so dry you could not swallow. We paid $9 for a mimosa that was poor! Got one on the beach twice the size for $3 and much better. We will not be eating here next year. Why didn’t I say anything, because I was embarrassed, I wish I had.😞
Great ambiance, good food and service also 5 star.
While the service was great, the food was terrible. It started with amazing bread and soup but then it went downhill. I asked for a medium-well steak. The first one that came was still crawling on the plate so they took it back and it came back charred beyond recognition. The waitress, trying to do a great job, insisted on bringing another and that one came back just as overdone. At the end of the meal the manager came by and asked how the food was. Pretty restaurant with lovely water views. The food was delicious! Live music adds to the cost atmosphere. Nice place to take visitors to HHI for dinner. It represents the Island well!
Great menu and featured a fantastic pre-selected set option that offered a large variety and was exceptional! I also had 1/2 dz Blue Point raw oysters and they were perfection! They even offered an option that provided wine pairings for each course! The intermezzo was a Lemon cello Sorbet that was awesome! Excellent prices as well and looking out over the marina is the perfect atmosphere for a fantastic seafood restaurant

We chose to celebrate my husbands birthday and our 40th wedding anniversary at ELA’S and it was perfect! From greeting us with champagne to our ending dessert, it was perfection.
