Poor administrative skills. Poor communication skills : failure to inform client that the aide is not coming in. Frequent changes in aide’s schedule. Scheduler extremely rude, speaks over clients instead of LISTENING So far I have had 2 nurses that have been awesome and one quit because of exactly what I as so many others complained about......patient safety comes first in all aspects which was not a concern of theirs in anyway except for the one exceptional nurse.....Natalia. If you care about your loved ones DO NOT USE ELARA, they do not care!! 1) My Mom was contracted with Elara on Dec 19 for PT. On Dec 30th we moved her to Encompass because Elara NEVER sent PT! When we contacted them regarding the delay they said three of their PT staff were on vacation and the one remaining was out sick. They never contacted us regarding this issue nor offered to find us an alternative. 12 days without PT care is unacceptable. 2) Their nurses continued to call us for "an update on her care" five times after... read more

My insurance was charged $300 per nurse visit per day. Some nurses were good, but most just zipped in, maybe took your blood pressure and/or watched you take your pills and then rushed out. Disorganized is the word that best describes this company. There is a shortage of help so most nurses were responsible for too many patients living far apart. Frankly, I am relieved that my time with Elara is coming to an end.

Elara Caring is an excellent agency that offers lots of levels of care for your loved ones from a few hours a day to 24 hours a day !! The aides and the management are very accommodating and it makes me feel very comfortable knowing that you have home care options instead of a nursing home !! Keep your loved ones at home and Elara Caring will take care of the rest about the rest !!
