They drop a crane on your apartment.
Like a lot of the newly built apartments in Dallas, this is constructed almost entirely of wood. I drove by this place almost daily on my way to/from the gym and saw the construction—I couldn’t believe you’d build such a big building out of wood. The recent crane collapse that killed a person in this building and rendered it unfit for occupancy was very tragic. I can’t help but think that the disaster could have been mitigated if there was some structural steel in the building.
