El Texano Mexican Restaurant was the best authentic food in the area of Palm Harbor, sadly it closed it's doors the end of Jan 2026. It all came to an end despite the efforts of the 2nd generation whose ownership was short lived as Lucy the owner took over during the lowest economy of the country, she didn't find reliable help and unfortunately those whom didn't know the story had no idea or realized the struggle she was dealing with to keep it alive. Mexican food is my favorite I have eaten at 100's of Mexican restaurants. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST. do not even pause in the parking lot, keep going. Way too much horrible of Everything to list on this post. The food was disgusting!!!! The picture is a beef enchilada that I was served. I wouldn't feed it to a starving stray dog. Yes that bad!!
I came here and was blown away with how tasty and authentic the food is. If you like authentic Mexican food this place is perfect.
Worse experience ever, since they changed ownership the food isn’t Mexican, the service is terrible. Don’t waste your money and time at this place.
