A great place to eat and drink, I went there last month and the food, drinks and service was GREAT! The chips are super thin and yummy. One of the girls I was with has Celiac and they were very accommodating. Our waitress Sue was outstanding. I will be back and now that it is warm the outside patio will be great,
JUST PLAIN GREAT FOOD I agree, this is not exactly "authentic" Mexican food, but tasty nonetheless. I enjoy the atmosphere, the friendliness of the waitstaff, and the variety in the menu. If you're looking for "authentic" then go to Mexico. If you're looking for just plain good food, go to El Sombrero. My favorites are the tortilla soup - it's spiced just right with shredded turkey, fresh avocado, and melted cheese on top. The Steak ala Tampiquena (strip steak), is tasty and comes with a rich cheesey enchilada. The burrito i... read more
A lot of fun This is one of those places that a bunch of us will get together and meet at just to have a good time and catch up. The food is great, the atmosphere a lot of fun, the margarita's, ooooo so good, and during the summer when its nice outside you can sit out on the patio to eat!
BURGER KINGS BREAKFAST IS BURRITO MORE MEXICAN THAN THIS PLACE!!!! THIS IS NOT AN AUTHENTIC MEXICAN RESTAURANT!!!!!!!!! The worst "Mexican" food ive ever had. i am ashamed as a Mexican that i even ate at this place. it is absurd that this place even calls itself "el sombrero." taco bell is more authentic and Mexican. if you are looking for Mexican food do not eat here, i repeat, do not eat here. unless you are not Mexican and dont know any better, but know that any place that puts cheddar cheese on beans and calls itself "el... read more
tasty burrito for a decently priced lunch I had the spicy-pork burrito, and it was very tasty, and just the right size. The chips and salsa that came free were pretty good, too.
Taco Salad El Sombrero has the best taco salad around! They give you the perfect amount of everything and you can even get shredded turkey and black beans for no added charge! Go there and try it now!
A Great Time! We come here all the time, and have never been dissapointed. Whether dining in the restaurant or just sipping some of their AWESOME margaritas in the lounge, we always have fun here. Staff is great. Strolling musicians on Friday and Saturday are extremely entertaining, live bands on Saturday nights in the lounge with NO COVER! are usually pretty good. Food is excellent, especially the carne asada and fajitas! Cute little beer garden out front, and they throw a hell of a Cinco De Mayo bash in a huge tent every y... read more
Roll Back's Rule! – I've been dining here for many years, and the food is wonderful! Fantastic fajitas, nachos, steaks, and margaritas! Bartender Tom is skilled and personable. Servers Mario and Emily are knowledgeable and attentive. We always feel like family when we eat there. During January and February they roll back the menu prices like 25 years to what they were when they opened, so you can get a beautiful skirt steak dinner with rice and beans and enchilada for 7 bucks, when it's normally like 16 or something. It's a ... read more
