We love this place. The food is consistently good. The prices are fair. The wait time is never that long. We have been going to this place for the past 15 years and still love it. It is our go-to restaurant.

Excellent Food, Cozy Environment – I ordered something with scallops in it (can't remember what it was called), but it was the best meal I've had out in a long time. The place is small and cozy, the waitresses/waiters are polite, and my only complaint would probably be the chairs.... so uncomfortable. We've been here three times now, and still love it!
Don't waste your time I ordered the chicken enchiladas and they came to the table cold and barely wrapped. The chicken inside was definitely canned chicken in big, nasty, cold chunks. I pointed this out to the waitress and all she did was shrug her shoulders and walk away. We left immediately and will never return.
like it! Great atmosphere, quite cozy, at El Serrano. I always get plenty (actually too much) to eat and I enjoy every bite. It is not your chain Mexican restaurant.
Great atmosphere! The Mexican architecture at El Serrano's really holds a charm that pleases me every time I step inside, and I must concur w/ reviewer Michelle that it truly is worth heading out to East York to get an excellent dinner, with excellent service. I have never been disappointed and doubt that you would be either!
Wonderfully delicious This is the BEST Mexican place around. Their fajitas are amazing. I love the cozy atmosphere. The servers are the most friendly people I have ever encountered at a restaurant. Even there cherry cokes are better than the rest because they add cherries to your soda. The also substitute french fries for the re-fried beans and rice at no additional charge.
