Overall food was good, albeit a little too greasy. Service was great.
Had a long day and haven’t eaten all day. Went to Rodeo about 15 minutes before they close hoping to order food to go, that was a mistake. The lady looked at her watch and said we close in fifteen minutes, and with a sour look on her face pointed to a table. My husband said we’d like to order to go and she made a grunting noise. I looked at my husband and said let’s go, I’d rather not eat somewhere where we’re not wanted and they’re not willing to serve us.
Security in the atrium let me look up through the glass spine but not past the elevator bank into the tower. From 5th Avenue the 22-story slab is the tallest thing in downtown Anchorage, a 1980s office box with a smaller sister building attached. I ate lunch on a bench outside and treated it as a skyline stop, nothing more.
