Did my research and finally tried El Rekorte Newmarket location. The patience, skill and professionalism of the staff was evident. My father owned 2 salons, and was in the business for 60 years. In particular, we chose Mo to do a (mid)fade and the intenseness and focus he displayed did not go unnoticed. I asked my son if he liked his haircut an hour later, he said it was 'Legendary'. Is it weird for your barber to take 4 phone calls (in his headphones)?. No “sorry, I’m with a customer”… just listening in on these personal, lengthy conversations. Maybe I’m the stick-in-the-mud, but if this is the new normal, I think it’s kinda sad. 2 stars for the cool interior and free cold drink.
