Went here yesterday with my boyfried and his family for a birthday dinner. It was my first time at an El Rancho Grande and I had no idea what to expect. The food was absolutely delicious, with great portion sizes and so much flavor. The staff were incredible and so sweet, and overall it was a great dinner. It's a rancho grande. You know what you're in for: White people mexican food. Pros: + big frosty mugs for beer + open late-ish + the chiles rellenos are better than average for around here + friendly enough service Cons: - menu is about as authentic as taco john's, and there's nothing spicy on there. - it's friggin' expensive - sometimes it smells like sewage on the premises. I think this is some kind of drainage problem and happens when it rains.
Ordered the Jose special. I got breaded chicken fingers from a kids menu instead of breaded chicken breast that you might expect. I enjoy this restaurant, but that was disappointing for $24.
Wonderful place. Very clean, food is amazing and the staff is wonderful.
When we found this place did not realize it was a chain. At my third one now. Everything is just as good as the other two! Always try something different which is not normal for me. Steak burrito tonight and it’s delicious!!!! I highly recommend this place if you’re wanting Mexican!
