Great bar no food but you can bring food in
Bartender took my ID and was very rude and made us call the cops to get it back. Which we did and left. Will not go back if that bartender is still there. He could have apologized and it would have been fine but he felt like he had some sort of power over us.

The El Rancho in Durango is a super fun bar. It gets packed, and the energy’s always great. The bartenders are cool, they make really strong and tasty drinks, and the music’s awesome — perfect for dancing. They’ve got a dance floor that fills up fast, plus pool tables if you want to play. I haven’t tasted the food yet so I can’t speak on that, but overall it’s got really good vibes and I’d definitely recommend checking it out.
First and last time going here. If I could give negative stars, I would. I was in town with some of my fire crew to celebrate my engagement with my fiancée. The service we got here was absolutely awful! The bartenders were extremely rude, demanding we tip. When my fiance and I tried to descalate the issue, WE were kicked out!
