This is our regular spot, and we love El Pollo Loco. The staff has changed, and the new crew is younger and brings a much more welcoming and positive energy. In particular, Andrew and Rony provided my family and me with outstanding customer service. We took some time to place our order, and they were incredibly patient throughout the entire process. I went through the drive thru last night and waited 10 minutes at the window before ever being greeted. I finally got my food and the crunchy tacos were so cold they felt like they were just pulled out of a fridge.. This is a pretty bad location and I won't be surprised when they shut down. The restaurant leaves all exterior building lights off all night making you think they're never open so they're halfway there.
My experience at El Pollo Loco was very disappointing. The drive-thru communication was unclear, and the employee was not speaking proper English, which made it difficult to understand the order. Not everyone understands other languages, especially in a customer service setting. Even more concerning was the hygiene — the employee who handed me the food had visibly dirty nails.
