We recently had a bad experience with a vet office in El Paso, thus starting the hunt for a new vet. This animal hopsital is reasonably close to where I live and their service is wonderful. The vet that I normally see will sit on the floor with my cats and do as much of the exam on the floor that she can with them if they are uncomfortable. She's very sweet and thoroughly explains the answers to all of our questions. She gives us options and considers my animal's past experiences, wants, feelings, and needs.
