Super delicious
I cannot recommend El Monte BBQ in Leon Valley enough. If you are looking for authentic, perfectly smoked Texas barbecue, this is the absolute spot to visit. The atmosphere is welcoming, the service is fast and friendly, and the food speaks for itself. The brisket is phenomenal. It is incredibly tender, perfectly juicy, and has a beautiful smoke ring with just the right amount of bark. It literally melts in your mouth and has an amazing, rich flavor that doesn't even need sauce. The real sleeper hit, however, is the turkey. ... read more
Good food. I got the BBQ bowl. Good salsa, tender meat. Even the salad dressing was good. Sweet tea on point.
The best BBQ we've had in the area! Super moist and smokey! Just the right amount of bark! Absolutely no sauce needed. Owner was delightful, charming and answered all of our questions! Definitely will be back when ever we're in the area! Keep up the great work sir! I'll be dreaming about your brisket till next time!
Brisket was the best thing I tried from the menu. I also had ribs, turkey, and sausage. All were very good! The bbq sauce was good but I would've like to have seen more variety. I didn't try any sides so can't really comment on those.
