Just walked out.... no service in 15 min. I went to them and told them it had been 10 mins and we had seen no one... still no one came. So having a 9 month old we chose to leave. I said on my way out that we were leaving because we had no service... some impolite lady said "good i am glad " Then my husband got upset... dont just mess with me, but my kid. Not good for business. I will be calling to complain.
The food is delicious, the best Cuban Churrasco in town in fact. There was also a live mariachi band playing to add to the lively ambiance. We absolutely love this restaurant, but I guess that must be the general consensus because it is very packed and the service and wait time is a little lengthy because of it. If you're like us though it's worth the wait.
I go to Margarita Mondays almost every week and have never had bad service until tonight. If you get the waitress Joann walk out or ask for another. She was extremely rude. She failed to bring simple things to the table. She walked by us 5 times with empty glasses on the table without asking if we wanted another while we were eating. She never checked in on us during our meal or asked if we needed anything. Finally, she came by and asked if we wanted boxes not another margarita as it was 2x1 and we only had one each. We ( family of 5) had dinner and drinks this evening. After the short wait for a table we were seated and a server brought us chips, dip and cheese. We enjoyed several 2 for 1 margaritas and our dinners. My family is in the area and go to dinner there frequently. We will look forward to returning on our next visit to the area!

We went to El Leoncito's on Sat. June 4, for lunch and were surprisingly disappointed. When we arrived the restaurant was fairly busy however, we realized we were the only ones in our server's section. The other 3 tables in our section did fill up after about 15 minutes to include an 8 top. I was a server for many years in a wide variety of restaurants (BBQ, Denny's up to Fine Dining) so I'm always very sympathetic to servers and give them the benefit of the doubt. Service was terrible. Food was good. Sitting at table for 10 minutes now with empty glass... Still waiting.
The server was adorable and awesome! She definitely knew the menu. We sat outside under the tiki umbrellas overlooking the river and it was a breezy relaxing Sunday lunch. Mark ordered Mexican and I ordered Cuban....Both selections were YUMMY! Fantastic Margarita too!!
Took a ride on the motorcycle today from Deland and ended up here for an early dinner. I ordered the wet burrito and the 2 for 1 strawberry margaritas. The margaritas were the best and you could actually taste the alcohol. The meal was the best Mexican I've had and I've eaten Mexican from Florida to California and in between and this was by far the best with GREAT price. Our waitress, Mercedes, was absolutely awesome.
