I have come to El Leon Spa several times and my last visit was more than likely my last. My swedish massage was not relaxing. It felt more Thai than Swedish. The masseuse was aggressive even for things like putting the sheet over me. The masseuse pulled my braids twice and bumped into my head a couple of times. When she flipped me over she asked how I felt and I said "okay", she responded by asking me a bunch of questions about my prior massage experiences. It felt like she was questioning me. Very friendly staff! The massage was excellent! Actually got lots of pressure and was amazing.
It was a terrible experience. I lay down naked then a male therapist came in. I had to ask him out and talk to the front desk. She told me I got a male therapist because I did not specify I need a female therapist when I book online. And tried to sell him to me and I said no. I’ve been coming here for 4 years and I had never need to make that request beforehand. I also had female therapist. There was also noting on the website to tell you need to make that option.
