The atmosphere and service were good. But the food looked and tasted like something from microwave dinner trays.
Was back in town on business and brought the team to sample my Texmex favorite. El Fenix did not disappoint. The sour cream seasoned chicken enchiladas were tasty. I don't understand why it's hard to find sour cream enchilada sauce outside of Texas, but I don't pass it up when I visit. The service started out a bit slow. Overall, this continues to be a good choice for Texmex.
The food was excellent, and our server, Gabrielle, was even better.
Went for some traditional Wednesday half priced enchiladas and they went up a bit; but we had the best server, his name was Chris and seeing a happy face makes the meal so much better.
