This is mexican food for people who don't like mexican food. I had the enchiladas with rice and beans. There was no hint of the herbs, spices, chilies, or flavor that makes mexican food so great. There was no hint of onion, garlic, mexican oregano, chilies, or even salt. Everything was extremely bland. I will not go back.

Just ate lunch there and not only was the place very nicely decorated but the food was delectable. There is a lovely Mexican mural on the wall too. The service was fast and pleasant. I love the El Coyote in Monroe. It's funkier but just wonderful. I noticed several people felt comfortable enough to bring young children and infants. You can sit outside. I highly recommend the mole and the guacamole.

The food here is actually quite great, and the ambiance has gotten better. Basically, this restaurant had a few hiccups when it first opened, but it has steadily improved and is now the best mexican in the area, hands-down. The lunch menu is fairly priced. The salsa and chips are awesome. The tequila selection in the bar is vast. If you did visit in the past and were turned off by the food or service, try it again, you'll be surprised...

The food was outstanding, but the service was ridiculously slow! We were seated quickly, but the server took more than 10 minutes to approach the table for our drink order. We couldn't believe the lack of service throughout the meal. It was so bad it was almost comical. I would love to go back for the food, but my husband refuses.

Food excellent service hideous! Our server took one drink order and never saw her again. No plate to go with fajitas so food got cold. No refill on drinks or ask I literally had to go to hostess to get a beer. No salt pepper hot sauce even when asked. We wont go back unless we order to go. I would rather slightly compromised food than the worst service I have ever received in any restaurant and we eat out twice a week! Too bad brookfield needed a good Mexican place but will never last. People pay for service and experience .... read more

I really enjoyed the food, very fresh and tasty. Consistently good! The atmosphere is pretty nice too. Customer service is also pretty good - El Coyote's manager went from table to table checking on the service and the food. The one negative is that the wait for the food is rather long.

Let me start out with a positive- the food was amazing. I have been here three times and each time was better than the last, food wise. The third time I went with my girlfriends. Our server, Andrea, was horrid- got nearly every drink order wrong (I had to go up to the bar to get a new drink myself, my friend ordered red sangria- got white sangria, etc...) and disappeared for 30 minutes at a time. When it came time to order dinner, I ordered an appetizer and pointed to it on the menu. She asked what side dish I'd like, I said... read more
