In my opinion, the new management is better than the last. They try to keep the property clean and offer more events for residents. For the price and the fact that it includes electric and wifi is why my husband and I decided to lease here. I recommend checking it out.
I've been here for a year, absolutely enjoy it. Staff is super friendly and very helpful! The pool is always beautiful and clean.
Very cute and affordable apartments, I love living here! The management and maintenance for the complex has been nothing but excellent since I’ve moved in. Common areas like the pool, grills, and games outside are well kept and always clean. I haven’t had many issues in my unit but the maintenance seems to reply and work very quickly so far! The girls in the leasing office are nothing short of great as well, they are always ready to help and answer any questions.
I was there when it was El Cortez and I loved it. Since it became Melrose, we were no longer allowed to smoke on the property which means every cigarette I had meant I had to go out to the sidewalk. Also they painted it that gross color that makes it look like a business complex. It's ugly. One of the biggest things is the AC. It never got comfortable in the summer, so bad I couldn't sleep because I would be covered in sweat. I tried fans, humidifiers... Everything! We have a roach problem ever since the apartment got new management. I deep cleaned my apartment at 2am tonight because I kept finding them. My maintence requests are usually ignorned. I've been requesting it regulary, and I have yet to hear from them. They added really bright flood lights all across the building and the pool area, so I had to pay 100 dollars to get a free standing curtain to block out the light from the pool area, and lastly the paint job the new owners did is so bland.
