GROSS! Will NEVER go back.... This place gets one star for their chips & salsa, which were good, but that's where the good food ended. Somewhat dirty restaurant & my menu was dirty. I am from the Phoenix area & have definitely had some excellent Mexican food in my life. The cheese enchiladas here had a red sauce on them that tasted like spaghetti sauce. Weird tasting cheeses were on a few of our selections too. I won't go back here, even if I get a free dinner. PROS: Chips & Salsa CONS: Everything Else we ate

Authentic but inattentive I've been here twice, and I have to say I like their food a LOT. Very authentic fare and atmosphere, very Mexican. But the servers, at both visits, tended to forget things, and they were inattentive. There are runners that bring your food out, so once you give your order to the server you might not see him again until you are finished eating! What happened to checking to make sure you have everything you need during your meal? I hated the fried ice cream because they make it with corn flakes, which ... read more

Authentic Mexican food in Pittsburgh! Driving through North Hills tonight, looking for someplace to eat, happened upon this by accident. On a whim we went in, and were very glad we did. Full menu of authentic mexican fare, priced very reasonably. When you sit down you get the basket of chips and salsa (which I loved, it was more saucy than chunky). I ordered the margarita to start off with, great choice, very good! And for dinner I ordered the Steak tacos. The meat was cooked to perfection. It came with an additonal (large) ... read more

Mediocre Mexican Food – Still in search of a good Mexican restaurant in this area. I'd read good reviews of this place on McKnight Rd so I thought I'd drop in for lunch. Cutesy decor, good service, good beer, good chips. The absolute worst chile relleno I've ever had in my life. It was barely discernible from the beans on the same plate. I think someone either microwaved it too long or put it under too hot a broiler and the coating and pepper disintegrated. Makes me not want to try it again, but all the positive reviews may ... read more

Best Mexican food in the 'burgh – My wife and I are recent transplants from Texas, and we have been looking for good Mexican food since we got here. So far we'd pick this place as the most authentic that we've found. They have plenty of choices on the menu with all the Tex/Mex standards, and everything we tried was quite good. The tacos were crispy, the beef was well seasoned, and all the sauces went well with the dish it was paired to. They had good drink specials too if you are a beer drinker. Don't be put off by their ina... read more

Editorial Review by Christy Buena – Traditional south of the border recipes fill the menu at the family-friendly restaurant that serves burritos, nachos and reasonable prices.

Highly recommended – Great mexican food in a very casual atmosphere. Huge portions for less than you'd spend at a mexican "chain" restaurant...and tastes better, too.
