Good Food...but that's it – The food was good each of the last 2 times we ate there but the prices are a little pricey for a pizza shop atmsosphere. Anyway, this time we decided to get a take out order. 3 people and around $50. I ask at the counter if they put in some tortilla chips. She said no, it would cost extra. Good food – The food is very good. A small place but quiet. If you're disappointed then you're just plain picky.
El Cactus is simply the best My husband and I go here at least once a week... portions are large and everything is freshly made. Everything we order comes out still steaming and sizzling. We can go there on a Friday night and sit, order, eat, and pay within 50 minutes (which is awesome because we are not people who like to sit for 3 hours for dinner). BYOB keeps the price down. Love El Cactus!
Not bad The food is good. I agree it is a little pricey for the level of food quality. Dining room is small. We have never had an issue with the service or cleanliness.
El Cactus is a good find Every time I have eaten here the service was good the food was also good. This place beats Taco Bell by a mile. The prices are also good and you get a good size for the the price.
I wasn't impressed. We went there with our three children and had a hard time feeling comfortable at the table because it was so small. The waitress was too busy talking on the phone and to the cooks in the back rather than making sure we had everything we wanted. The price was a bit steep for the food we received as well. We tried it out because we were on the hunt to find good Mexican cuisine and we came up short with this place.
Nice people, which is (unfortunately) the best thing I can say. – Since moving into the area from out west, we've been trying to find a good, basic Mexican restaurant while being reasonable - this is PA, after all. Unfortunately, El Cactus just doesn't fit the bill - we found the food to generally be lacking in flavor. I tried the enchiladas, and they came covered in what tasted like an odd, weak tomato sauce. Service was great, but we'll keep looking.
great authentic mexican food Great Mexican food. I had the beef enchilada and it was delicious. Fresh ingredients, delicious sauce. My husband ordered the gordita, and was unaware it had black beans in it, which he does not like. The server was very kind and understanding, and was willing to remake the dish with no issues. I was impressed with the service would go back anytime. The fresh salsa and tortilla chips were wonderful too!
