Perhaps it's a symptom of the state of our health care system resulting in insufficient doctors with this specialty, but Eisenhower does not have enough of them, resulting in it taking months and months to obtain all of the necessary tests to reach a diagnosis in a difficult case, such as mine. There is no doubt in my mind that delayed diagnosis is causing the death of people who could have been successfully treated. I really should have known better than to seek care with this department but finding a GI doc in Southern California is very challenging, and I needed some follow up care. However, the incompetence I've gotten from this team before, and from all of Eisenhower, floated once again to the surface. Was there recently for a test and it went terribly. No trained doctors in the office, of course....some untrained random staffer did the test, didn't get what was needed successfully AND it looks like they also hurt me in the process ... read more

While the person I met with was helpful and recommended a test, it’s been almost 4 weeks since that important test and I haven’t gotten the results yet!! I was told it could take 2 weeks for the dr to review the test. Now it’s almost double that. Extremely disappointing.

5 March 2024, I underwent an ultrasonic endoscopy. The ENTIRE experience was delightful. RN Jacqueline was supreme in her attentiveness, Jerry the receptionist jovial, and Dr. Asgeri highly skilled. The anesthesiologist was respectful and friendly. No hangover! I hope that they maintain a CONSISTENT highest level of care. Franklin
