I called 2x to try and get an appointment scheduled and finally on third day I was able to reach a scheduler only for her to tell me they are booking into June, it’s February and I’m not a new patient. I just had surgery through Eisenhower and wanted a follow up with apparently I have to wait 4 months. People don’t have 4 months to wait when they are in pain!
I really should have known better than to seek care with this department but finding a GI doc in Southern California is very challenging, and I needed some follow up care. However, the incompetence I've gotten from this team before, and from all of Eisenhower, floated once again to the surface. Was there for a test and it went terribly....some untrained random staffer did the test, didn't get what was needed successfully AND it looks like they also hurt me in the process (I think they tore something). It’s ridiculous trying to get a doctor in this clinic. You have to wait for months for an appointment. It’s ridiculous.
Kiesha who answered the phone, was so rude. Horrible attitude and talks down to you.
Perhaps it's a symptom of the state of our health care system resulting in insufficient doctors with this specialty, but Eisenhower does not have enough of them, resulting in it taking months and months to obtain all of the necessary tests to reach a diagnosis in a difficult case, such as mine. There is no doubt in my mind that delayed diagnosis is causing the death of people who could have been successfully treated.
