I bought a bag of whole beans out of nostalgia, from remembering my mother opening a bag at a Finast Supermarket, pouring the contents into the grinder, selecting the grade and grinding the beans into the same bag. The aroma was memorable. Years later, I grind my own, now spoiled by another brand of French Roast whole beans. If you prefer a milder cup of coffee, Eight O’Clock is fine and you can’t beat the price, $13+ v. $24+. Thanks for the memories.
Zero customer service and stale coffee! If you absolutely need Eight O’Clock coffee, buy it anywhere but the source: I ordered 6 packs of Central Highlands from Eight O’Clock via their website and every pack had an expiration date of only 3 months away, compared to a pack purchased at ShopRite which I’d had for 2 months already, but was several months fresher. I made 5 attempts to contact them of this issue (and included photos of the expiration date) and all but the last attempt thanked me for my concern but made no attempt... read more
