Why is this place in business? – If you want to wait nearly an hour for a cold breakfast, get snubbed by staff who are put out at your mere presence and generally be made to feel like you aren't welcome, this is the place for you!! The staff is rude. The food takes forever. You'll have to ask a half dozen times for a refill on coffee. You may even find yourself inquiring, after you are luckily selected to order food from this travesty of a restaurant, if you should've packed snacks to munch on first. Do not waste your time o... read more

So Disappointing- go somewhere else – If I could give this place a negative rating I would....we had been to the old Egg Shell several times and today went to their new location for the first time....service was absolutely terrible....we waited over 35 minutes after placing our order for two breakfast burritos before actually getting them and when we finally got our food it was luke warm at best....not to mention the breakfast burrito was nothing like it used to be...super skimpy and pretty much just contained eggs...none of... read more

Still the Best – I've been to the Egg Shell hundreds of times in the old location, but I had not been to the new spot until now. I work at Janus and have been having trouble finding a good, quick, well priced lunch place. A friend of mine recommended that we try the Egg Shell-whoa-I didn't know they could do a burger like that. Apparently the use the highest level of prime beef for their burgers. I paired it with a Sessions Lager and still got out of there for under $10 including tax. Sat outside and loved the patio. We have... read more

Truly Amazing – We came in with a party for 15 at 10am on a Sunday. We expected things would be a bit slow when waiting for a table but we were seated surprisingly fast. We drank up several of their delicious blood marys and my sisters each had mimosas. We ordered a wide variety of items from egg skillets to burgers but the food all came out hot and cooked perfectly. Everyone at the table raved about how amazing their food was. And my kids loved the pancakes from the kids menu. We came in during what was probably their busie... read more

Very disappointing – I was really looking forward to trying this place, how disappointing. On the surface it seemed like it would be great, but the music was way too loud, there were bugs in the plant at my table, the food arrived luke warm (though the presentation was nice), and I found a hair in my potatoes. The staff did not seem too concerned. YUCK! I am really sorry that my experience was so negative, hopefully they will be able to get their act together.

Rude owner – I was in the building where the new egg shell is located having tea . The music from the egg shell downstairs was loud and disturbing. I went dowstairs to ask that they turn the music down. I was polite, tjey said "no problem" and turned it down. Then they turned the music up. I went downstairs again with the same story. The third time I went down to ask, the owner of the egg shell asserted that she was the "anchor store" thus the needs of other business was of no concern to her and that she wouldn't turn the mu... read more

A Local Treasure – I have been eating at the Egg Shell once a week for almost twenty years, and I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal there. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but if I had to choose my favorite dish it would have to be either the Eggs Benedict or the Shep's Favorite. Their lunch entrees are tasty, as well (but it is usually hard for me to pass up the breakfast items). Friendly service and a great atmosphere, too.

Best breakfast in Denver – This is without a doubt the best breakfast restaurant in Denver. I have been there dozens of times and always had fantastic friendly and efficient service and excellent food. Menu highlights include the "shooting star" skillet, the "high country" and potato pancakes. When I go for lunch I usually order the reuben or the burger, and they are so good that I find it hard to order anything else! On my last visit I discovered that the restaurant has wireless internet -- I will be taking my laptop from n... read more

Overpriced breakfast rip-off – For 3 people our bill totalled 35.00 with tip. We oredered 3 breakfasts and 2 coffees. I could not believe that one dish which consisted of scrambled eggs with 2 pieces of the worst turkey sausage patties and 2 of the biggest and tasteless pancakes was about 9.00. It was ridiculously overpriced-probably typical for "Cherry Creek", and the worst breakfast I ever had. i will never order pancakes anywhere else again besides the Orignal Pancake House where they actually know how to make pancakes.
