I made this appointment because Dr Edwards' colleagues couldn't reach an agreement on my course of treatment after 3 years, and I wanted to get some answers as to why. He tried to explain why I wasn't a candidate for surgery, but it was all medical jargon that meant nothing to me. He then seemed to shut me down every time I needed clarification on something. Scheduling is absolutely ridiculous. I can’t even get in for a consultation. I’ve been rescheduled on 4 times and now the soonest appointment is 4 months away? So incredibly frustrated
Dr. Edwards is hands down the best pediatric Maxillofacial Surgeon around, i would argue maybe the best in the country! What he did for my 15 year old daughter is just amazing!!! He has always talked to her, the patient, respectfully and honestly and we never had to worry or guess about anything! Her surgery and after care was top notch! You will not regret his care or his work!
Dr Edwards is the best and a true professional. Very smart, very direct, and offers clear expectations on the surgery and what to expect afterwards both functionally and aesthetically. I had lower jaw surgery and a genioglossus advancement to fix my open bite and underbite. It’s been six months since surgery, and I’m so grateful to have functional bite and slight improvement to my facial structure. Super happy with the results and highly recommend U of M for anyone else needing jaw surgery.
I saw Dr. Edwards from the ages of 14-18 due to arthritis and TMJ damage of my jaw. He kept us well informed, never treated me like a child, and the surgery itself went as smoothly as it could've been! I've had no complications since then and I can safely say he has changed my life for the better. Dr. Edwards and his team are incredible. They do fantastic work and were a joy to interact with. I was in great hands.
