This visit was for an initial routine cleaning. First, I was forced to refill out all the information by hand which I had already provided via their online portal by the front office staff, frustrating. Next a hygienist led me back and demanded we do X-rays even though I received a full series 6 months prior at another office and attempted to refuse! Dr. Yao is AMAZING. This is coming from a woman who is PETRIFIED of the dentist. I had not been to a dentist in over 10 years (I know, I know); of course, out of no where, I woke up one morning in excrutiating pain. Not knowing who to treat with, I took a chance & scheduled an emergency appointment with the only dentistry who would schedule to see me that hour. My experience with Dr. Yao was extremely poor. When I saw him initially several times prior with no problems in regards to cleanings and other extractions he was very straight forward. However when it came time for a consult for my partial because it was broken, in the conversation to get a replacement he focused on how expensive it would be if I lost it and gave the impression that if I have all of my upper teeth removed it would be more feasible/preventive option.
