Used to be good.......... Ed McKay's used to be great on their prices and selection back in the day. I've been a customer since the beginning. Now, when you go in there it's like visiting all the high priced seller's on Ebay. They give you nothing for your items, look them up on ebay and sell them for the highest price that it sold for. I've lost a lot for them and very rarely go there for anything anymore. Not to metion, you can't call and get any information for the slack workers that work there. Disappointed Used to be a great used bookstore. Since they moved into their new location right on Battleground, they seem like they've become "commercialized". It's not the small, quaint little bookstore it used to be. Now, it's like any other business that is growing too fast, it's now all about the $$$. CD prices have gone through the roof. Why pay retail for a used CD/DVD when you can get a brand new one in the box for the same price.
Buy, Sell or Trade Edward McKay's is a great place for used books in Greensboro. They have a fabulous selection that is always rotating. They also have one of the best selections of used CD's that I've ever seen.
Book Lovers' Paradise Every time I enter McKay's, I feel at home. The staff greets everyone with a warm "HELLO!" The book selection is wonderful. The prices are superb! My favorite section is the children's area. Other used book stores usually have a poor selection children's books. Not so at McKay's. The selection of children's books is wonderful! Used Book Store This is a great store to take your old books. I used to sell them in my yard sales for 25 to 50 cents each but now I take them here. You have two choices with them you can take a store credit or you can take the money. I always take the credit because they give you a little more value and I can use the credit towards dvds or other books. LOVE it! Eddie McKay's is the BEST! I love going in and browsing and just gettin lost amongst the stacks. they have a great "free" section and a fabulous kids section too. They are a little picky as to what books they will buy from you, though. that is the only complaint I have!
used books I LOVED WHEN I WENT INTO THE STORE I REALLY FELT COMFORTABLE AND WANTED. ITS A GREAT PLACE TO TAKE OLD BOOKS, PLUS YOU CAN EXCHANGE YOUR BOOKS FOR SOMETHING ELSE THAT YOU WANT.
