Dr H was my PCP here in Virginia for almost 20 years. Always friendly,compassionate and very thorough....and always with a smile. So many of us really miss him back here! Health care isn't the same in our area and noone here comes close to the kind of professional or personal care he took of his patients!
Competent , timely and pragmatic care , a doctor you can trust
My assessment of Dr. H is that he is very capable and very smart. He first diagnosed me as "obese" 6 years ago and told me to lose weight. He didn't offer any suggestions. I was able to lose 40 pounds on my own. I find myself unable to lose more, and since I am still in the "obese" category, and actually gained about 15 pounds back, I asked him if there was any medication that could help in appetite control. His answer: "I don't believe in it" No suggestions. Not very helpful.
Good Dr. I like that he was direct and to the point.
Dr. H has been my doctor since I moved to the area 6 years ago. It is hard to go to a new Dr but he made me feel at ease and throughly listened to my problem. Dr. H is caring and will tell you straight up what needs to be done. Thank you!
Dr. H has always done what I asked him to do, like measure various levels but when I had other problems he did not seem to be very helpful. Sore back, felt very sorry for me but no suggestions. Came back when it was better, then he said can't do anything until it is sore again. Was constipated for 3 days ( never been before so got concerned ) and was recommended an over the counter powder, takes 3-4 days to work, ouch! Sad to say I had to change Doctor, did not feel he was it for me.
