Have seen Dr Schlafly for 35 yrs. He has done 2 knee replacements and several scopes. Last knee replacement done in October this past year. Couldn’t be more pleased. Fabulous doctor and will be greatly missed.
I was told the surgery went well but now well over a year later still swollen and very painful. No explanation or reason given to me
I first saw Dr. Schlafly in January 2019 for pain in both knees. After trying non-surgical solutions for 6 months we decided knee replacement was in order. I recently had my left knee replaced at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, MO by Dr. Schlafly and his staff. The surgery went very well. Horrible.
Dr. Schlafly was on time and very cordial. Initial x-rays did not show damage but, after a physical examination, Dr. Schlafly suggest a second set of X-Rays to explore a different view. Sure enough significant knee damage was apparent. Dr. Schlafly suggested non-surgical options while indicating knee replacement was definitely in my future. I was well informed about my options and confident that I had found a very professional and thorough doctor! Highly recommend!
Did a knee replacement on me with terrible results. He wouldn’t even touch my knee to check movement. Said scar looked great and he did all he can do and it was left to the man up above. Had to go to another surgeon to get it tightened up cause it was loose right after surgery. I wouldn’t send my worse enemy to him.
At my last appt he chastised me for being there saying he had surgery in an hour, was busy, why was I there, would only discuss two 'body parts' with me. I pointed to the x-ray of my knee behind his head on the wall. He was bizarre and aggressive. I called the hospital to complain about him and learned he leases an office there in order to do surgery there but isn't on staff. Go to BJC.
Excellent doctor. 5 star experience on every level.
Major knee surgery from a ski injury in 1988. Two orthoscopic knee surgeries (one in the last year). All with excellent results. Cares about and listens to patients.
