I was referred to Orthocarolina by the VA for full knee replacement surgery and was assigned to Dr. Edward C Brown at the Fort Mill Office. From my first consult to the day of surgery and beyond he has been amazing. He went above and beyond to make sure I understood all my options and even after my surgery he took the time to see me in between appointments to calm some concerns I had which turned out to be normal things. I have been a patient of Dr. Brown's since moving to SC last year. He found an infection around an old partial knee implant and had to operate immediately to remove the hardware, affected bone and tissue, and place a medicated concrete spacer in the knee. I then had to have months of IV antibiotics and p.t., during which he kept encouraging me. Then, almost 6 months ago, he did the total knee replacement and I'm recovering very well.
