Saw Dr. Funto for an autism assessment. My therapist and many other people suggested that I get assessed. My therapist said that I am likely a very high masking individual. Dr. Funto continuously cut me off when I would try to explain my experiences. I could tell based on our conversation that I wouldn’t get a diagnosis from her. I got mad at her over the phone when she called with my results for wasting my time, because she said I have trauma and I’m depressed and anxious. If I could give a zero i would. Was suppose to have a phone call follow up... no one called. Spent that day and 2 days after trying to contact someone in the office. Would get the recording to select option then would hear a split second of hold music before it would cut off and get the options again after 6 ring tones. Terrible service,
The Dr Surkont is nice, however, I don’t know what her name is, but the girl at reception wearing a hijab is just terrible. She genuinely seems to hate her job, i’ve been here twice and both times she acted the same. However, the other receptionist next to her seems very nice and seems to want to help clients.
I am SO grateful for the staff at the Edmonton Specialists Clinic. Tracy, at reception, is wonderful! She is not only kind & empathetic, but she goes above and beyond to help. Dr. Makus seems to genuinely care about his patients and wants to help ease their pain in any way he can. I can honestly say that the clinic has exceeded my expectations, and I appreciate their efforts, compassion and expertise.
Right from the start, this clinic was wonderful . The reception that booked our appointment was very kind. When we arrived, we were told our appt was canceled, as they could not get a hold of us to confirm. This was a mistake on our part. The receptionist, Sharma I believe did not hesitate to make it happen. She was very compassionate. We appreciate her so much. We got in to see Dr Surkont, and he was very professional and thorough. He answered all of our questions and I left feeling a lot less stressed. Thank you all.
