RecommendedOne of the coolest places i had no idea was even in FL! The Botanical Gardens are so amazing its as if the trees were plucked right out of a fairytale. The museum was really cool lots to see and learn. The labratory brought me back many years and was incredible to see what things used to look like. Unfortunately rain and lightening moved in so they closed the houses on the water and the dock down to visitors. So come early and check the forcast so if rain is expected you can plan accordingly. What a fantastic place! Our family visited yesterday, July 4. What a perfect place to explore on our nations birthday. Educational, fascinating and beautiful. My husband and I both learned new things about Edison. Both our daughters, ages 15 and 11, loved it!

Great tour! We did the guided tour which was very nice. It was Hot but the tour guide kept us moving. Very informative and learned a great deal.

My husband and I recently became members and have already enjoyed two of the curator talks. I have visited since I was a kid, which was a long time ago, and the place continues to improve. My one suggestion would be to be a bit more open about the cafe not being open at all during the summer. The sign noting that the cafe is not open "today" is a bit misleading. It's not a big issue; now that we know, we'll just pack a picnic when we bring the grandchildren or head to Pinchers when we don't.
