I have family that lives here and we wouldn't recommended renting from here. Every renewal of the year lease they add up to $75 more a month so eventually it will become unaffordable to even live there. If that's meant to be incentive to live there that's completely wrong and seems illegal and horrible of the property owners to try and make an extra living off of other people. Moved out on great standing with management. Spotless and up to date on payments. I left them my forwarding address! 6 months after moving out, they took me to court (I WAS NOT NOTIFIED) and they won a judgement of $1900 simply because I didn't show up! Con Artists! Scammers! Liars! Then I called more than 30x leaving messages to get this resolved and sent multiple letters with zero replies! They ruined my credit and hindered my ability to rent elsewhere for What?????
East Coast owners could care less about you here. Local management is completely ineffective in dealing with ANY issue. Maintenance is practically non-existant. 4 years and my maintenance issues still haven't been taken care of. I want soooo badly to move out but choices are very limited in Eaton Rapids. Most private owners around here with apartments seem to not care or respect rental law. Town management decisions are poor as well as city management.
