Drove in from Kansas City to take my mother who is newly diagnosed with Dementia and now with vertigo and unstable gait in for an appt. We were 14 minutes late, I called in while I was on the highway to say there was construction I10 from KC to Lawrence. Once we arrived I was told “she has a strict 10 min late policy”. Very unimpressed. As a new patient I was expecting to feel welcomed and be able to talk about what’s going on. Instead, I feel like I was interrupted a lot and barely able to get a word out. I was asked multiple questions and not given a chance to give a full response. Any time that I WAS able to speak I feel like the response I got was rude and the whole hour that I was here I did not once think that this doctor was truly interested in helping me.
