Economy Plumbing Heating and Air, Inc was started in Grand Forks, North Dakota in 1941 by William J. McGurran as a plumbing and hot water repair company call the "MOBILE PLUMBING SHOP." In the early years the business was idled due to material shortages during World Was II, and Bill was forced to go to the West Coast and work in Defense Contracting. His wife and family stayed behind in Grand Forks and when the war was over in 1945, Bill returned home.

I am sure glad I had Kevin from Economy Plumbing figure out the plumbing puzzle for our new custom tile shower and slow draining bathroom sinks. He is very skilled. Ours was not a straight forward plumbing project for our shower but he came up with a perfect solution. Relieved I didn't tackle this project by myself!
Gerard was always terrific to deal with, and now that Kevin has taken over the business from Gerard, things have even improved. Kevin is particular and discerning in his work and INCREDIBLY knowledgeable. On top of it all, he works so incredibly hard for both his clients and his family that I will not even consider another plumber until Kevin has retired. He should probably charge more than he does for his level of expertise. This is the kind of small business that you should support!
When Gerard owned this place he was our perfect plumber for 25 years. He was quick to respond & repair all our commercial & many residential properties & remodeling projects. I called the new owner for a complete bathroom retrofit and never received a call back. Even if you’re booked out a call back is just polite & professional. Especially if it’s a long time customer.
Despite being extremely busy, Gerard and Kevin really came through for me. I appreciate their talent and loyalty. They overcame many obstacles for my project and got the job done on time. I would recommend them for any size job.
Gerard and his plumbing company represent and deliver old school ethics with concern for customer satisfaction, attention to detail and work performed according to the latest standards. Economy plumbing has provided me with quality help and economic solutions to simple and complicated repairs. For over 20 years they have also proved to be valued and dependable associates during new home building and high end remodel adventures...thanks Gerard...it's always a pleasure.
