Just as sleazy as it looks. – Let's be honest- nobody expects four-star amenities when it comes to a one-night hotel in North Portland. But it doesn't take a hotel connossieur to figure out when a place isn't worth spending sixty bucks on. When I initially booked my room, I was a walk-in into the front office. A blast from the past in an ever-changing neighborhood. – The Scene This tucked-away yet conveniently located neighborhood is right on the MAX line. A few creative companies and hip hangouts are nearby, and families fill out the rest of the neighborhood. In the midst of it, this motel is a reliable offering, with its affordable rates and clean rooms. The Details Visitors won't find too many frills here. Highly Recommended - Clean, Friendly and Cheap! – I am a frequent traveler to Portland and have stayed in many of the motels on Interstate Avenue. The Economy Inn is by far the cleanest and nicest. My room was spacious and very quiet. The manager is very friendly and the service for a motel of this size (about 20 rooms) is impressive. It is also easily accessible to public transportation, downtown and other attractions.
